The PERFECT Cleanser for my Sensitive Combination Skin!
I have had combination skin all my life. If I used a cleanser & other products for dry skin, parts of my face would often feel oily and unclean only shortly after cleansing ... and would be more prone to breakouts. On the other hand if I used products for oily skin, my face would often feel tight and dry causing flaky skin in some areas and a need for more moisturizer type products, etc. It was a vicious circle of trying to figure out which products to use to 'balance' out the others while trying to treat various areas of my face differently than others.

What is Elizabeth Arden 2 in 1 Cleanser like?

I've seen this cleanser described as a gel, but I would consider it more of a pearlescent cream. It creates a bit of a foamy lather when applied to the skin and gently worked around the face with your fingertips. The "2 in 1" part of the name refers to the fact that it is a Cleanser and Toner in one. You may wish to use an eye makeup remover before cleansing your face, but if you don't wear heavy eye makeup, you may not need a separate makeup remover. The product is mild non-drying, oil free, sensitive skin tested, and dermatologist and clinically tested. I have fairly sensitive skin and have experienced no negative reactions to this product at all.

What do you love about it?

It makes my face feel CLEAN and fresh with none of the oily after feel of a 'dry' skin product ... but at the same time it makes it feel smooth and soft, without a trace of the dryness or tightness caused by 'oily' skin products. I love the very light scent of mint or eucalyptus (not sure which it is) that I smell while using the product ... but the scent is very faint and goes completely away very quickly. The product rinses away very cleanly. I don't feel a need what-so-ever for a follow up toner (though someone with oilier skin might, which might mean they need a different product to start with) ... and I usually follow with a very light moisturizer with SPF, or the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide capsule treatment.

I won't even pretend that my skin is flawless, I still get occasional monthly break outs, but I do think that it is in very good condition for my age ... (one of the ladies at work just KEEPS telling me how I don't look my age! *happy dance*) and I do credit the EA products for at least part of that! I'm heading into my mid 30's and still don't see signs of tiny lines and wrinkles that so many other women seem to be worried about ... and thankfully even the monthly breakouts are much less noticeable than they were before I discovered Elizabeth Arden 2 in 1 Cleanser .

Did it improve the way you look or feel?

I truly think that finding this product has improved my skin's appearance. And in turn, this improvement has improved my confidence level and made me more comfortable with my own appearance.

I freak when I run out of it, and it's one of the very few products that I'll buy 'in advance' just to keep from running out and having to use some other product. At $15 it *IS* more expensive than most of what you find in the local drug store's cosmetic area ... but it is soooo much better. I'd rather have one GOOD (GREAT!) $15 product that I can use till the bottle is empty than to shuffle through 3 or 4 different $5-$10 products that I keep buying and discarding because they just don't do the job.

Who should buy this product? Who shouldn't?

Every woman who thinks Elizabeth Arden 2 in 1 Cleanser might be right for her skin owes it to herself to try this product for at least two weeks or a month! If you have extremely oily skin, you may need a somewhat more intense cleanser, such as Elizabeth Arden's Oil-Control Refining Cleanser ... if you have extremely dry skin you may need an even gentler cleanser that also moisturizes, such as their Hydra Gentle Cream Cleanser. But if you have combination or 'regular' skin then try the 2 in 1 Cleanser. I don't think you'll be disappointed, but if for any reason you aren't happy with the product, you can always return it (even partially used) to the Elizabeth Arden cosmetic counter and exchange it for something else!
